Navigating Change: How Intretech Responds to New U.S. Tariff Policies
Here’s how we’re continuing to deliver value to our customers—uninterrupted and undeterred.
In April 2025, the U.S. government announced the implementation of a new “reciprocal tariff” policy, designed to adjust the trade dynamics with global partners. While this kind of policy can create a lot of international business uncertainty, at Intretech Technology Co., Ltd., we see it as an opportunity to reaffirm our strength, agility, and global readiness. International business is at our core, stretching across borders and time zones.
1. Limited Impact on Core Operations
Despite the global headlines, the new tariffs are expected to have a minimal effect on our day-to-day operations.
As only 20% to 30% of the revenue from the product categories affected by the tariffs—primarily household engraving machines, health and environmental products, and smart components—comes from direct exports to the U.S. Crucially, most of these products have already been manufactured and delivered through our overseas Smart Manufacturing Bases in Malaysia and Hungary.
‘At Intretech—we’ve built a business designed to adapt.’
2. Diversification Drives Resilience
We produce far more than just products; we produce solutions tailored to some of the most demanding and prestigious clients in the world across a diverse range of sectors—simulation systems, automotive electronics, office control, food and tobacco, to name just a few. Our solutions are highly customized, fostering deep, long-term partnerships with our clients.
Over the years, we’ve balanced our development across key segments including:
- UDM business
- Automotive electronics
- Health and environmental technologies
- Intelligent manufacturing solutions
- Smart home systems
This diversification, coupled with a low reliance on any single market, ensures that we can remain agile and future-focused—no matter how the global trade winds blow.
3. Global Reach, Local Strength
Since 2016, we’ve pursued a clear internationalization strategy—and the results speak for themselves.
Our manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Hungary have been running for close to 10 years. Equipped with modern infrastructure, a seasoned management team, and scalable capacity. These plants have already absorbed the output of the tariff-affected products, allowing us to deliver seamlessly to our customers.
We’re also expanding: a new Smart Manufacturing Base in Mexico is under construction and expected to be operational in the second half of 2025.
Beyond manufacturing, we maintain R&D and marketing centers in Switzerland, the UK, and the U.S., providing around-the-clock support across time zones and markets. This global footprint ensures we can stay close to our customers and ahead of industry trends.
This isn’t just about resilience—it’s about seizing the opportunity to innovate, grow, and lead.
4. A Strategic and Confident Response
While the policy change may cause concern across the industry, our strategy remains clear and proactive. Intretech is:
- Strengthening technological innovation across all business lines
- Continuing our internationalization journey with new markets and partnerships
- Advancing global R&D, marketing, and manufacturing systems
- Leveraging our early-mover advantage in global expansion
- Staying alert and adaptive to policy and market developments
Trade policies worldwide may change, but our unchanging priorities are delivering excellence, ensuring that our customers succeed, and achieving sustainable, profitable growth. We continue to believe that our diversified business model, global manufacturing network, and long-term strategy will continue to drive succeed in what is, by all accounts, a more dynamic trade environment.
We value the trust our customers and partners place in us, and we remain committed to delivering the smart, scalable solutions the world needs.
‘As we grow across borders and industries, our partnership remains at the heart of our success.’
Stay Informed. Stay Ahead.
